Step 5: Stop Pushing Yourself Off the Edge

Hello lovely readers! So sorry that I haven’t posted in a while, but lately I haven’t been feeling very well. Today’s post is Step 5, and if you want to check out the previous posts, below are the links:

Step 1: Tell It Out

Step Two: Inner Scream

Step 3: Recognize Your Faces

Step 4: Find Your Happy Face

Do you ever feel like you’re the one only who’s doing something? Like you’re the only one in a friendship who is putting effort?

If you do, then hopefully you’ll understand the reason for this post.

Constantly, we push ourselves. We push ourselves to the goal, motivate, and never let anything get us down. And sometimes it works. Sometimes we get to the goal and feel so relieved. Or some of us feeling like squealing in excitement (me). We made it! We did it!

Yet sometimes we don’t make it. Sometimes we give up and that is okay. It is okay to give up. But if we give up, we can’t let the reason be…unreasonable. For instance, we shouldn’t give up because someone said something that hurt you or because we don’t want to embarrass yourself. I’ve been there, and it’s not fun. Giving up, when you know it’s not what you want, kills your confidence. But let’s look at it a different way.

Sometimes we pick ourselves up and we keep going. And that’s great. But when is it too much?

I’ll tell you when. It’s too much when we start forgetting about ourselves and our needs. It’s too much when we bottle in emotions. It’s too much when silence our voice. It is too much when we dedicate ourselves so much to someone else, that we lose sight of who we are. We forget that we are humans, and before we can help someone else, we need to be there for ourselves. action-e83db2072b_1920

Bottom line is, it is amazing to pick yourself up and keep going, but not so much when you push yourself to the point where you start to fade. You are a light put in this world to shine, never to fade, and never to burn out.

Hope you all liked the message behind this short post! Would love to hear your opinions on my Blog and I encourage you to check out my other pages. Next post is in 3 days! Stay tuned!
